Right.  Yes.  And anyhow, I agree with everything he said in reply.
Especially:

I looked -- possibly somewhat feebly -- into induction heating circa
1979.  Nothing then available seemed amenable to my kind of work and
especially not to my then sharply constrained budget.  IIRC, it was
middle 5 figures and up.  It was annoying that somthing dull, such as
a tire factory or a tubing mill, could have such incredibly neat stuff
and I couldn't.
