I had one HF grinder last about three hours of intermittent use before it
burned the armature wiring and stopped. the other, I had bought two at
once, must have been the same batch but was on fire in my hand while I was
on a ladder about an hour later. At the time HF also sold Bosch 1347a,
bought two of them about $70 each. Just killed one, The armature to gear
threads stripped after about 8 years and the other is still fine. I might
try a Metabo next time. Might try to weld the gear to the shaft on the old
Bosch for an emergency backup or for the bad neighborhoods ;-)
