Not when the die grinder is right for the job. Otherwise, yes. :-)
Consider, for example, the A&O Hammer. I'm lying on my belly on top
of the hammer, reaching down into the tup bore with one hand, holding
the tool at arm's length, trying to clean the gunge off the inside of
the bore. The electric die grinder doesn't fit crossways in the bore
and is balanced completly wrong for holding that way anyhow. Put the
3" Scotchlock disk on the angle grinder, remove the screw-on hand grip
and it works great. (And that *is* how I cleaned up the A&O.)
YMMV, WYSIWYG, DSFDF etc. etc.
Mikey> You can get adapters to solve the problem from Harbor Freight.
You have no idea how much PITA it is to order stuff to be sent across
the US/Canadian border. Really, the only way to do it painlessly is
to get someone travelling by car to hand-carry it. Didn't I ever post
my yarn about the 35-cent springs that arrived here COD for $32.00
each?
Unless you're a glutton for masochistic thrills, love being blindsided
by officious dorks demanding money and ardently wish to be nickeled
and dimed to death by penney ante leeches, ordering stuff from
Pyongyang is probably easier than ordering from the USA.
