I still recommend the 1/2" milwaukee hole shooter.
While some milwaukee tools are being made overseas, most are still made 
in the USA.
This is about the toughest, most all purpose drill I own, and I own a 
lot of em.
Powerful, tough, you can drop it on job sites, big chuck, but not too 
big and heavy.
