The UW-Madison Arboretum's Steinhauer Trust Gallery presents the exhibit,
Nature Expressions in Metal and Megapixels, with artwork by Kirsten Skiles
and Linda Grimmer, May and June 2006.
A reception with the artists will be held at the Gallery on Sunday May 7th,
1:00 to 3:30pm.

Kirsten Skiles will be exhibiting new bas-relief work in steel, copper and
bronze. Kirsten uses the ancient techniques of chasing and repoussé to
express the ornate wilderness of river, garden and life. Inspired by the
natural beauty of Wisconsin's Driftless Region, she brings nature into the
melodramatic realm. Leaves, animals, and even weeds seem to rise out of the
surface of the metal with a life of their own. Examples of recent work can
be seen online at http://x2c.xanga.com/34eb635b5613048484400/b32592716.jpg
