Well, I'm sure it would work, except:

1. I don't use coal
2. There will be no room under the forge
3. Double lung bellows are very late period, almost past the cut off of 1600, 
and the doubled single lung bellows are a pain in the tuchus, unless your 
forge is no bigger than a teacup.

I will eventually build a set of souble lung bellows, but, having seen all 
three in action, not to mention having used them, I think the box bellows 
will suit my needs best.
