[TheForge] More for Rube Goldberg fans

Hi Mike, The two air vices that David Court has are 5-6" diaphragm chambers
on the back side of them. They clamp and hold well - they are fast too.
Nice try though............
a small hydraulic cylinder would work - takes an aweful lot of gear to
clamp a vice though. Maybe if the quick couplers went to that as well as
the bender, press, pipe bender, rolls, small press brake, etc.......it
might be worth the time to set up a power pack. (that's my theory anyhow
with the clunker power pack I've got to rework and set up).
I have a 6" and an 8" air cylinder for the vice trick - but I figured if I
ever missed and got caught in that jamb with the speed of air - well, that's
kept me from building it as I'm loosing my quickness............ in both
keeping my fingers out of fast moving vices - and getting projects done!
(Nazel still not finished - had to go back to making money) :-(
Just another one of life's dissappointments and a lagging winter goal not
reached.
Ralph (who thinks "modular" and "gazinta" in tool design)

To the man who has a compressor, everything looks like an air tool.
Rube Goldberg fans might be amused by this:
