These have been around a long time. You'll see them at antique stores
and flea markets, cheap or expensive depending upon the whim of the
seller.

When purchasing a new pair of shoes, I found a pair but not the fit.
The
person assisting me pulled out a pair of wrought iron tongs
specifically for
adjust shoes and softening the leather. It had a round ring on one end
and a
ball on the other. I didn't have a chance to measure these but it
looked like
an interesting, useful project.
Has anyone seen these or have some dimensions that would work? I have
a
rought idea but curious if anyone has worked on something like this.
