Right.
The test I use is a 1" ball bearing dropped from 1 foot high on the sweet
spot of the anvils face. Both the bearing and the face must be clean (no
rust or grease) the higher the ball bounces the better the anvil. The best
anvils rebound about 90 to 95 %.
