It is 13" diameter outside. I do have heavy firebricks in the bottom  and 
over the 8 years they  have been in there they have not broke yet.  But I do not 
forge weld yet. That is also  that I moved the forge from  Arizona to  
Michigan  and from my storage to  a tin 2 car  pool barn. I also took it to  5 SCA 
war events in Arizona. Going to reline  the beast with Kaowool and then keep it 
around until I get my  stainless steel one done.
The SS one is going to  be a 2 part project. Part 1 is making the  forge to 
either be atmospheric or blower assisted. Only going to be 10' outside  
diameter and 16" long inside.
Part 2 will be to make it look like a dragon For my  SCA events. With  mouth 
being one opening and lifting the tail will be the other opening if I  need to 
slide steel through it. Legs will cover the legs on the forge and the  wings 
will cover the burner piping going in the body.
