Take it one subject at a time:
(1)Heat sources (fan blown burners (gas, oil, charcoal, coal) and naturally
aspirated with gas fuel types)
(2)Forge types (old fashioned sheet metal and cast iron, brick pile, metal
shell, tube, square, Ferrier, variable configuration)
(3) Refractory choices and types (home made, hot face, insulating,
monolithic, fiber, loose fill)
(4) Shell materials and construction with construction techniques and
recommended tools
(5) Construction principles (ex. open engineering vs. special purpose forges
Good luck with your project. After you have this covered we can find more
subjects four or five years down the road >:-)

Subject: [TheForge] FAQ

When I built my propane forge I found a lot of info about burners and coal
forges, etc... but there wasn't really too much on the net about propane
forges. So, to help out some newcomers, I'd like to volunteer to compile
some of the discussions on this list into a "Propane Forge FAQ"
of sorts.

I'll need a little help making sure some of the final details and sources
are right, but I'll be happy to do the majority of the work.

Any suggestions?
