Years ago i used a lot of propane tanks in my sculptures and
fireplaces, so i was cutting them up regularly.
The work yard was right along hwy 1 and tourists could see me
cutting through the giant bra gates...and smell the stink from
years of accumulated mercaptan that i'd drained from all those
old tanks.
Every now and then some tourist would screech to a hault and back
up to shout a warning. Some would back up a few feet, then think
better of it and drive away, pedal to the metal. I'd always
pretend to be hard of hearing ( don't have to pretend any more).
