You could have the wheels powder coated-
many aluminum rims are now powdercoated when new.
You can get clear powder, or there are lots of fancy finishes now, 
including tinted clears, metallics, textures, and so on.
Not cheap, though- could be $50 a rim easily, depending on color. Less 
for something simple like black wrinkle- many powder shops run black 
wrinkle every thursday, of some similar frequency, so you can slip 
stuff in easily and cheaply.
When the Suzuki Sidekick craze was happening, back in the 80's, I saw 
lots of em with fluorescent pink rims, powdercoated.
