Mike, do yourself a favor - go get the gas and use hard wire, you'll like it
much better.  Get the ER70S6 and it will run and flow out real nice for you
on sheet work.  Trick with sheet is tack weld all sides/edges, then run
beads - or if real thin and distorting just stich weld to keep distortion
down and use seam sealer(comes in caulking gun and creeps into joint to seal
it - it's what the factory uses - only they spot weld).

Sorry I couldn't make Can-Iron, was really looking forward to meeting you.
I had a killer job going on a water powered sawmill and had to finish it up
before heading out to Minnesota today.

I once purchased a 50 gal whiskey barrel from the local cider mill and
had 30 gal. of cider put in.  Some good cider, my son!  I later was
told that the wood of the barrel held about 1 gal of whiskey, so as
the cider equilibrated with the whiskey, I was getting a 30:1 or
better cocktail.

Ob. Smithing: Finally broke down and bought a MIG welder.  Don't have
the gas tank yet so I'm using flux core.  I figure by the time I've
welded all the patches on my rusty '87 F-150, I'll know how to use the
thing.
