You don't have a lot of books, but have lots of opinion.

Subject: [TheForge] Opinions on Blacksmith reading list
My personal opinions. Others may differ:
Bealer - see previous posting.
McRaven. - I don't have this book and can't comment.
Tucker. - I have and like this book, but it's more a "okay, now what can I
DO with blacksmithing" book, than an instructional text.
McDanial. - I don't have this book. I didn't buy it because it struck me as
more basic than I needed, but probably great for a beginning blacksmith.
Andrews - I have about three different editions of this book. As someone
mentioned, the Yellin photos are almost the best part. But this is also a
good, thoughtful book for the beginner. I was surprized a couple years ago
when I reread it how many of "my" ideas came from Jack Andrews.
Schmirler - A lovely book that I don't have. (I keep dropping hints around
Christmas...)
Pehoski - I vaguely remember this name but don't think I have the book.
Will have to check.
Whitaker - An interesting book, but IIRC not particularly a beginner's
instruction book. I learned a trick or two from it.
Weygers - A great 3-in-one volume, worth a LOT more than the $10 the
paperback version goes for these days.
Convers - Don't have it. Will have to look it up.
