Thanks for all the info on the Uri-style hammer. I will definitely take
all this info in consideration when deciding on purchasing one or not. I'm
a newbie and currently use a couple of $10 Ace Hardware hammers (2 pound
cross pein and 3 pound sledge) right now but already have elbow troubles
from past sports injuries so I've been considering the Uri-style hammer and
technique that I've been hearing so much about.

I just uploaded to theforge's photo site a new post vice stand I just
finished building. I used a 3/8" plate for a base and 6" vertical pipe.
Still had some flex in the base plate so I welded some angle iron ribs on
the plate to take the flex out. I also placed some scavenged railroad rail
plates between post and braces to give more to the weight stand when I'm
not standing on it. I normally stand on the other end so my weight is used
there. This is now a very stable post vice that I can also easily walk all
the way around and work on. I also added a small tong rack on the opposite
side to hold a few pair of tongs. The pic is in the "Tools and Tooling"
album of theforge's photo site.

Thanks!
Steven Walker
