Hi Bruce, I did miss you point competely.. It's just that we have a
large number of knife and sword makers in college and they have all
neglected the vast range of techniques to focus on demascus sword
making. Long gone are the days of dropping in on the blacksmith to
pick up a sword for 'work'. I can see that they have specialised in
one area to such a degree that they have lost a lot of thier
versitility. Like I mentioned earlier.. My love of blacksmithing is
the problem solving aspect. There isn't much of that when you are
repeatedly making demascus swords unless you make a mistake.
