[TheForge] OT biodiesel

I agree with you Bob, this thread went from heating your shop with wood vs
propane to biodiesel to depleted uranium and it's many uses to help mankind.
I think that many folks missed the point about biodiesel in the first place.
I think that it is about small scale grass roots actions. One can make their
own biodiesel to help save money and the environment at the same time.
"Think globally, act locally"
I don't think that most folks think that biodiesel is a viable replacement
for "commercial" diesel. I don't think that is the intention of the folks
that are actually involved in the grass roots biodiesel movement.
I don't think that we should use nuclear generated electricity to create
hydrogen fuel for a cleaner environment??? That sorta misses the point of
having a cleaner environment in the first place. I like the idea of hydrogen
as an alternative to gasoline, or hybrid fuel/electric vehicles. Most of all
I don't like the idea of making bullets out of depleted uranium. If the
bullet doesn't kill you the uranium will, and your kids, and their kids and
their kids and their kids. Why don't we work on small scale ways of making
fuel from water to run rural pumps to irrigate crops instead of even more
horrible ways of killing one another?
That is my 2 cents worth.
I'll step down from the soap box now.

What is GASFI?

Just because you can find it on Google doesn't mean it's incorrect.

Why would anyone google "time cube"? I mean what's the question?

The issue of what to do with nuclear waste is not an issue of space.
Who cares how many shoe boxes it takes??

The issue is the length of time the waste is hazardous.

DU? Not on the current list of things that are good for you.

Bob
