[TheForge] Anvil shaving 101

Well, Phlip (chuckling...)

As it turns out I have a big ol river down at the toes of my farm. The
idea I had was to take a skidsteer down to the beach, hang the anvil
upside down from the forks over a portable forge, and then dump it in
the water and kinda jiggle it up and down. I guess an oil quench would
be better but I think *that* might be tough to pull off.

You might see the steam plume, I dunno.

I'm a pretty strong guy, but holding 275 lb of red hot metal out at the
arms length would be a pretty tricky. Makes for a good tall tale. I bet
Paul Bunyan coulda done it. And he'd probably pull a nice fried fish
outta the river with the anvil.

Justin.
