Phil my hammer is 4'X4"X12" weight is 55# and I'm running it on a 2"
cylinders and get about 180-200 bpm on a cheep compressor. So 2" will lift
it remember that a larger cylinder will only work if you have a compressor
that will run it.

Subject: [TheForge] what size cylinder?

I'm thinking about building another air hammer. On my
first one I used 3"X3"X10" as the hammer head. This
time I think I'll use 4"X4X10". What size cylinder
should I use?

Thanks

Phil Rosche
