Just to put my 2 cents in on anvils. I got a future 2 anvil and it weighs  in 
at 100  pounds. I put it though  lots of pounding and it got left  out in 
Arizona sun for years and it is still a good one. It has a good top half  of 
steel and the bottom half is aluminum.  It has very little ring and if  you miss 
your work you better look out good rebound. I  picked mine up  for $500 about 8 
years ago. I  like it for my SCA blacksmithing.
