In my job I often sign up my company for taking on pain in the ass 
involved manual processes involving people propogating info from 
multiple computer systems.  I usually tell the customer not to explain 
the process to me, that I will just assign my laziest programmer to 
their team.  I know that my lazy ones will stay up all through the night 
to write code to automate the whole thing.  My eager beavers on the 
other hand will just learn how to do twice as much work as the existing 
staff.
