Yeah, couple-three times.  After the last time, I took a close look at
the ball of the screw where the ball of the handle hits.  It was
swaged up into a kind of sharp crater edge all around the eye.  (How
many thousand handle-drops did it take to do *that* cold?)

Being carful not to gouge the handle too much, I ground that sharp
edge off.  I'm hoping that little change will reduce the chances of
another pinch.

Oh, good.  I'll get a case of beer.  I'm not a great forge welder but
I got my nihil obstat and imprimitur papers from the dread FWP after I
made a damascus knife from a wrench, half a pair of tongs and an old
tin stove cover.  Now I'm allowed to arc weld anything, provided I lie
about it once in a while just for good form's sake. :-)
