Jeff,
I have a Harbor Freight AD helmet and it has worked fine for a couple of
years. The " one set of eyes " argument for spending more money is not a
valid one. Using ANY AD helmet is better than a flip down helmet. Even if
the AD helmet doesn't darken at all, it will still block the UV rays unlike
what happens when you don't flip the helmet down fast enough.
I would get the AD helmet with the adjustable shade if they have it.
