John:  For mild steel I use Alco Iron and Metal in San Leandro, Albany Steel 
in Albany and for shapes that I cannot cut, I use Van Bebber Bros. in 
Petaluma.  For tool steel I use Summerville Steel.  Half rounds, Half ovals 
and Tees can be obtained from Bayshore Metals in San Francisco.   I work in 
Alameda, CA

Would any West Coast blacksmiths know of a good source of steel in the SF 
Bay
Area? I live in Santa Cruz, CA but can easily get to San Jose and up the
peninsula way.
Shipping from LA and Seattle is getting cost prohibitive. I'm looking for a
place where I can actually take my truck and pick it up.

I've gone through a number of sites to try to identify a store, including
Abana, but have not had much luck.
