King Crimson, I was trying to remember that band's name. No one popped up,
Great Society was the precursor of Airplane<G>.
Pipe Organ, though I don't have speakers worth the effort in the forge area.
Beethoven<G>, Anthrax, Wasp, early hair bands before they got glamish.
Petey Burnes, Alice. Someone mentioned trance music. We call it "gay bar
music," and for good reason<G>. But a good rhythm. But I can only hammer
at half that rhythm.

I, also, used to point my daughter to my vinyl collection to introduce her
to the influences on the music she listens to......also to play original
versions of covers that one of her favorite bands may have done.
This is a great topic.....can't work without music, even if it's the music
in my head....
Some favorites to work with: King Crimson, Bromberg, The Clash, Al Green,
Sly, Third World, War, Airplane, Old...Very Old Genesis, Nektar, Joss
Stone,
Opera, Mozart, Miles Davis, M'Shell Ndege O'Cello, Neil Young, Zappa, any
and
every version of Little Wing-Hendrix.......and, of course, as seems to be
agreed upon..........Sabbath.
That's my short list....
Note to JRF: I miss Car Talk and Prairie Home Companion....even though I'm
in NJ, I used to get both programs on my public radio
station......hmmmm....time to find out if they're on any other station,
within my listening area.....
PS: Now, that my daughter is a music major, she rummages through my old
vinyl, constantly...........and why not......it's good stuff..... Joni
