Phlip, Every shop should have a cut-off saw. It'll cut ANY steel, unlike band saws which may start spitting teeth if they hit a hard spot. Slower, messier, etc., but worth it. Go for a 14" job. You could get a cheap, used one and use it till you're convinced I'm right or find you don't need anything better after all. Bruce NJ
