The Dodge brothers made wagons, buggies, etc. too.

My grandmother dated one of them in the early 1900's and used to talk about 
how hard it was for them to convince their investors the new horseless 
carriages would ever be a money maker. She dated a Duesenburg as well and 
her father refused the gift of a car.

Then the Beede family moved from Ohio to the left coast and she ended up 
marrying a federal judge.
