At the Des Moines Ren Faire, my wife and I made rope Memorial Day Weekend 
next to the Kilt stand.  We saw lots of Utilikilts sell. Actually...  the 
kilts looked like they would be good, much cooler for working at the forge.  
Even saw some special orders for the "beer belly cut" kilt.  I think that 
the #1 salesman was into SBDM  .. got me thinking about soft twisted rope 
and  iron handcuffs.. as value added  products. 

Post Script.. rather than a "cool kilt..."  what about JUST wearing  your 
leather apron. That would be open at the back also. <grins>
