[TheForge] Cleaning cast iron cookware

I agree, I never wash my cast iron cookware with soap. What I've found is
best is to use a stiff brush and hot/warm water on the cast while it is
still hot. All of my cookware maintains a black color and is almost non
stick all the time.

Some people may not like this but I don't do anything to my cast iron waffle
iron. I don't even rinse them. I don't apply any oil to the plates. My
batter has a small amount of oil in it and my waffles don't stick at all if
you get the iron hot enough before you start. I do keep the faces together
so the surface is never exposed and I use the iron at least once every two
weeks. BTW - never let a waffle cool in the iron because when that sticks,
you have to scrub it out and re-season.

Bruce, while your method is more or less what I'd intended to do, I'd like
to add that if you applied soap to anything that I seasoned for cooking
purposes, I'd have to consider murdering you ;-) Soap, particularly in cast
iron, gets into the pores and the coating and to sensitive people, the item
and foods cooked in it will forever after taste soapy- nothing you can do
about it except keep soap strictly away from seasoned iron/steel....
