My favorite finish for feast ware and cooking utinsils is to spay with a light coat of Pam or other oven spray and then bake in the oven at about 400* for about an hour. (Other temps. and times might work too.) I find that this is a very durable finish that survives many trips through the dishwasher. And, it is easy to redo when it finally does wear off.
