My horizontal bandsaw came with a little bolt-on table.  Over the
20 or so years I've had the saw, I'd say the average was one occasion
to use the table per year.  Last time was to cut a  2-1/2 x
1/2 x ca 1' long piece of naval bronze down to 2" wide.  I don't think
I have anything else that would do that except a hand hacksaw with the
blade in sideways.

So I'd say the table is worth it if it's easy to do well.
