[TheForge] forge brazing

I do a little bit of forge brazing. I use borax for flux and copper wire
for the rod. I put the borax on and then lay a small piece of wire on top
of that. It can be tricky getting it back into the fire without stuff
moving around. Sometimes the borax puffs up as it melts and moves the wire
into the wrong place. Once the flux is melted but before the copper melts
you can check the position of the wire and move it with a poker before
getting it hot enough to melt.

The main thing I braze is the lap joint on candle snuffers.

I saw Lou Muller use an old copper pennie to join two 1/2" sq bars together.
When it was cold he put it in the vice and bent it. The bars bent and the
joint held.
