I suffered severe damage to one side of my head many years ago after being
run over by a bicycle that left me deaf in one ear with very bad tinnitus.
Many years and many doctors later I went to the Shea clinic in Memphis Tenn.
where they gave me an intravenous injection of lidocane about 150 cc's.  Ten
minutes later I was 80% improved, it literally saved my life as I was not
going to continue to live the way I was.  This treatment is still given
there and I'll gladly provide anyone interested with the phone numbers and
stats on the procedure. It is not an effective cure for all conditions and
is more effective with low pitch vs high pitch problems, however it made a
world of difference for me and might be worth a try. There is little risk
and no side effects to the treatment.   I am always amazed when talking to
doctors that they have never heard of the procedure.  I have made it kind of
a mission to educate as many as I can.        Bill
