Ok guys I got this from my V.A. Dr. He said that the ringing in my ears is
from old abuse of my ears from load noises. I.E. tank engines, explosives
and rifle gunfire. I have the ringing in my ears. Load enough to drown out
crickets, cicadas and rattlesnake buzz. Yes, I have had mine for 20 years but
never paid that much attention to it. Also does not help it being a
blacksmith. The pounding of power hammers, grinders and most of all the pounding on
steel on anvils. If you have an anvil that rings it also effects the ears
too. I never heard any rattle snake buzz the whole time I was there and I
could see the tails moving. I looked for them when I was working in the
desert. Only killed one and he struck at me in a bee yard while I was taking
care of my bees and pissed me off. I beat him to death with a long stick
So guess what all. Yes you can and probably will get tinnitus being a
blacksmith.
Another blacksmith with ringing in his ears.

But I love the heat. Just want it from the Forge. 4 seasons for me now.
If a cat has thumbs then could it hold a hammer?
