Since this is bowling night your getting the second instalment now. As it
has been pointed out that if you have the typical boiler maker's
notch hearing loss in a large enough degree one of the things you will
miss is women's voices. When at times this is desirable it can be
dangerous.(ask your wife)
I get my work done at the KSU hearing clinic. This a teaching facility
that trains audiologists and is overseen by some extremely good people. In
exchange for your records for research and the hands on experience of the
grad. students (see slave labor)you get lower prices and a choice of many
manufactures. The digital aids are the most inexpensive ,analog cost more
now because of lower demand. You can give them a price range and will work
with you. You will get one of the most extensive hearing tests you will
ever have. Mine was an hour and a half long in a good lab. If you're too
far away they may be able to give you references. Don't choose the Scrooge
factor and settle for something from Harbor freight your hearing is too
important. But you don't have to buy$3000 an ear aids to get what you need
and will help you the most. Good luck in your search.
