hello;

the mystery has been solved.

after considerable checking it is safe to say that whatever trojan
infected the computer did not come from any links in any msg posted to
theforge or any links contained in links in any msg posted to theforge.

the original msg being referred to was posted by me on 10 jan 2005. it
contained a link to a google news article concerning the latest security
holes in microsoft's internet explorer.

btw. www.secunia.com is whitehat ( as in good guys ).
