Thanks, Steve, I forwarded it along to him, as well as to Stefan, who runs
the Florilegium. Plating is not a matter I have a great deal of interest in,
yet, being metalwork, it's something I need to know more about, if only so I
can direct people into information that they want.

It's rather like bladesmithing- again, not a specific topic that I'm
interested in, other than as an aspect of general smithing, but my
apprentice wants to learn, so I'm studying as hard as I can so that when
he's got enough basic smithing skills to move into it, I can guide him to
the information he needs ;-)
