Hi Ken,
I am just getting around to catching up to my e-mail. We have a very
good bunch of noligable members that are willing to help anyone out. The
National Blacksmith's and Weldors Association was formed in 1892 and is
still going today. We are often referred to as the modern blacksmith's
because we use a lot of the new ways and still have to use some of the old
to accomplish our work in repair or manufacturing. The requirements for
membership is mainly to be in this type of business, many of our shops are
just one man shops up to small manufacturers. We have one main Convention
every year, usually in the the upper mid west states, for example last year
was in Fremont , NE next year it will be in Grand Forks, ND. Each state
will have State Convention, Picnics and Weld-o-ramas each year.
We also have News Letter that get's mailed out four times yearly to all of
our members. We will be very interested to hear from you and to join our
fine association. You can contact me here at dhart at pop.ctctel.com or you
may go to our web site and print off a registration form and mail it to our
Secretary-Treasure. our web address is: www.nbwassoc.org. We look forward
to hearing from you again.
Thank You,
Duane Hart
