Well, here it was 34F, 2" of slush and black t'ick o' fog. [1]  Who wants
to look outen the winder?  

But then, somewhere down there, seems to me I recall, you wire yer hat
on yer hayid and connect yer lahtbubs to wahr.  'Course it's not
usually *too* confusing but it did take me a while to figure it out
when a USAF colonel retired to NS told me with a straight face that he
owned stock in Guffoal.

    in a dory.  Pronounced locally more or less as one word:
    blacktickafog or just blacktick.  Not to be confused with "Offog",
