We use:

G.L.Pearce Abrasives
1-800-938-0021 Orders
1-814-938-2379 information

They have good quality and are reasonably priced.

We've been getting our belts there for 5 or 6 years and have been satisfied
with them.

We get the aluminum oxide, don't like the silicon grit.

Anyone have recomendations for sources of grinding
belts for steel? Non of the local hardware stores have
them. The ones that did have all been put out of
business by HD and Lowe's, who only carry 1 grit -
"rough", whatever that is. :-(

I'm looking for 4 X 36 belts in grits from 100 to 400
(or maybe better if they available)

Any oppinions about what belts are best for steel,
especially hardened high carbon steel?

Mail order would be fine

Frederick
