[TheForge] NOW wheelchairs and anvils

I like the idea of the small power hammer, maybe built on a c-frame so
that the smith could sit under it (vibration cracking, here we
come...). Problem with a hammer anvil is getting the mass small enough
to fit over legs and under hands. Scale and so on is an issue, but a
good leather apron or even a sheet metal scatter sheild or both would
cover that problem. I'm thinking a gas forge at about sitting waist
height to the strong side of the smith, port pointed backwards so the
blast doesnt cook the leg...then the smith could slide the bar
backwards out of the port and then forwards under the hammer. Hammer
control is tricky because of the lack of foot movement...maybe a blow
tube to keep hands free?

Woodshedding.
