I've had great success on stainless steel with 3M's Regalite Polycut
abrasive. I know J and L supply has quite an extensive line. I hope some of
the abrasive suppliers will soon introduce zirconium belts with the teflon
lubricant, like they have on 4.5" flap discs. Being in the middle of
Montana has some disadvantages though to seeing these "front-Line" products.

Subject: [TheForge] Grinding Belt suppliers
Anyone have recomendations for sources of grinding
belts for steel? Non of the local hardware stores have
them. The ones that did have all been put out of
business by HD and Lowe's, who only carry 1 grit -
"rough", whatever that is. :-(
I'm looking for 4 X 36 belts in grits from 100 to 400
(or maybe better if they available)
Any oppinions about what belts are best for steel,
especially hardened high carbon steel?
Mail order would be fine
Frederick
