Well, it did seem like we had a homepage hijack going on, but my wife wrote
to the guy who set up our system for the soap business and here is his
reply:

"The homepage is locked by EMS FreeSurfer MKII. To change it run Internet
Explorer, select Tools pull down Menu, and click Free Surfer. You may
change the home page there and leave it locked to help preventing hijacks."


She did that and it worked and we're back in business withour desired
homepage and I have a new concept, homepage hijack.  Turned out we already
had Spybot and Spyware Blaster.  Thanks for all the input,   Jeff
