Rodent wrist?  That's a new one on me.  Sorry to hear it.  Listen to the 
doctors and lay off.  I've not hammered in three weeks because of my 
rodent shoulder.  I thought it was never going to stop hurting, but it 
is a lot better now.  I took quite a load of Naprosyn and it helped.  I 
take no drugs for any reason unless I'm dying and the pain was almost 
enough to make me want to die.  Far worse than the amputation of my two 
fingers, to give you an idea.  Give it rest.  If you have the bent for 
it, find yourself a GOOD acupuncurist.  It's not a cure in all 
probability, but it may go a long way toward repair.  Dr. Chen told me 
to lay off the shoulder and keep it warm, so I did, and I'm much better.
