I can't answer your question but I know that the pneumatic systems I've been
involved with were really dependent on the materials moved. I think they
were mostly designed by experience by contractors that had already installed
like systems. There are real problems that depend on shape, size, mix,
weight and moisture content as well as distance and bends.
Most of the chip removal systems I see are paddle and chain in a tube or
trough.

Subject: [TheForge] Engineering data
Hello all -
Does anyone know where I can find some solid engineernig data on the web
for designing a pneumatic conveying system for wood chips? I have spent
some time and am not finding numbers, only innuendo and site-specific stuff.
I need to design a system that will move a certain amount of wood per hour
and use the least power doing it.
Hope i am not sending this twice, but it got bounced back to me. Now i
am not sure why.
Any help honestly appreciated,
