I think the dye bomb would be a Federal offense if I got the Mailman.  I
won't mess with the feds. 

Here comes that liability issue again....  If you put in a heavy foundation
with a stiff post and somebody accidentally hits it, you will be liable!
That's why areas like Ralph's won't let you do the heavy post.

I really like a swing away design with my post mounted out of the right of
way if possible.
