Ralph, have you gotten the actual Boy Scout Metalworking Merit Badge booklet?
The merit badges are set up so that all the information needed to get
the badge
is in the book itself. I haven't seen the Metalworking book in a while, and I
know they added blacksmithing in recent years. But I would guess that a native
metal is one which can be bought locally.
