This should work better.
>From here click on 'eyewear, hearing and knee protection" and from here
click on 'show all' and you will see the clear lens also. I buy a lot of
things from them and have always been pleased.

Interesting that Walmart and Sears along with welding suppliers are
now
into catering the craftsman that are getting older .......must be a lot of
us.

By the way - what is the cost at Sears and Walmart for the safety
glasses?

The thing about advantage gas is the glasses are safety glasses and
then a
bifocal in them as well are for close up work.
I find I can't see a dam thing without prescription glasses and
Lenscrafters wanted $426 last time I checked for a set of prescription
safety glasses. These polycarbonate glasses that Advantage Gas sells are
full time magnifyer glasses in different powers, and you can glue on a set
of lined bifocal lenses and the magnifying glasses are $16......and the glue
on bifocal discs are about $10.

I certainly don't loose any sleep over smashing, scratching, or weld
spattering a $16-26 set of glasses like I would a $426 set ! I'm
notoriously stupid and have ruined more sunglasses and regular glasses
around job sites - that I really appreciate the cheaper option, as I know
me.

........and yes, I did try those glasses holders that go around your
neck.......but the weld spatter ruined the glasses - so I didn't gain much
there.

I've seen the option of standard safety glasses with bifocals for
close up
work, but to get magnifyer lenses with bifocals had always been a
optomitrist expense. I feel pretty dumb when I have a set of magnifyers in
my welding helmet - so I set down my safety glasses to weld something - then
smash the glasses I'd set down closing a lid on the set I had set
down.......but like I say - it's much better than it used to be cost wise.

...........Maybe I wasn't supposed to say that..........I'm sure no
one
else has done that! :-)

Now that I've fessed up and make all you guys look good! I'm off to
finish
up two more presents ......and I hope you all have a nice holiday in which
ever way you celebrate it.

Ralph

got safety glasses and frames so that i could work in them and have them
for
when I make it to any black smith events. They came with side shields
