I thought about this, but I my shop is one of those 20 x 21 steel carports
you see everywhere for $700 or so. I enclosed it and put a double sliding
barn door at one end. Its got 10ft ceiling in the middle and 5ft walls so
vertical storage isnt an option. My interior walls are all covered with
pegboard and the like so hanging steel it on the studs isnt an option
either. I thought very seriously about hanging racks from the steel
skeleton but I've got about 2000# of stock and I dont want the roof coming
down around my ears.
I like the E frame the best so far for my application. Im considering 2
aisles with racks on each side and sheet stock stored on edge down the middle.
